Title: Hotass Jeff's Bar & Grill
Genre: Slash
Pairing: Jensen/JDM
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2200
Summary: Jensen has a crush on the bartender of the Riverside Bar & Grill. In Jensen's defense, the guy is stupidly hot.

Notes: From [livejournal.com profile] laulan's prompt: JDM owns Jensen's favorite bar. Jensen's been coming there since he turned 21, and he and JDM have been flirting just about as long. Insert lots of Jensen crushing and ordering sexual drinks (sloe screw against the wall, etc.) till JDM finally puts him out of his misery and kisses him senseless.

Hotass Jeff's Bar & Grill

Riverside Bar & Grill was the last stop on Jensen's twenty-first birthday, so Jensen doesn't remember a whole lot from that part of the evening. Mostly he remembers kind eyes and being cut off with way more dignity than he deserved at that point. He may have also made some unfortunate propositions after that. It's all sort of a blur, and Jensen is smart enough to be mostly grateful for that. Mostly.

The second time he goes there, he's starting out from a sober point of view, and he finds out the kind eyes he remembers belong to the amazingly hot owner/bartender named Jeff. Along with the eyes, he's got great arms, tattoos, and a smile that walks the middle-ground between friendly and dirty.

After that, Jensen starts to go to the Riverside Bar & Grill a lot. He doesn't really talk to Jeff at first, beyond ordering his beer. The thing is, Jeff went pretty much directly into the spank-bank as soon as Jensen got a good look at him. He is the star of the bulk of Jensen's more creative fantasies and Jensen's a little worried that the reality of the man might ruin that for him. The contrary part of Jensen that makes him go back night after night hopes that the reality might be even better.

So he drags Danneel with him most nights to serve as a distraction.

"I swear to God, Jensen. For as hot as you are, you're seriously pathetic," Danneel says when Jensen calls to see if she wants to go out.

"I'm charmingly neurotic." Jensen checks his outfit one last time in the mirror and grabs his keys. "You in or out."

"Give me fifteen minutes." As if she would actually say no. Danneel enjoys a nice piece of eyecandy as much as anyone. It's why they get along so well.

The bar is never all that busy, and he and Danneel easily get seats. Jeff seems like the type of guy who decided it would be fun to own a bar, so that's what he did. He never appears to be overly concerned with the lack of a crowd and spends most of his time chatting with the regulars as he bartends. The waitresses treat their inability to get a drink from him in a timely manner with nothing more than fond exasperation.

"Jeff!" One of the servers— Jensen thinks her name is Genevieve— leans over the bar between Jensen and Danneel, snapping her fingers. "I need three PBRs and a house merlot."

Jeff finishes the conversation he's having and turns to Genevieve with an easy smile. "Sure thing, honey." He winks at Jensen and Danneel, then, and says, "I'll be with you in a minute."

Since Genevieve is still between them, Danneel can't make her normal commentary at that, but Jensen still clearly hears the, For fuck sake, just bone him already bouncing around in her head. He gives Genevieve a tentative smile, wondering if she heard it too.

Genevieve rolls her eyes, but her smile is sweet and amused. "Great. As if Jeff weren't distracted enough," she mutters. "Thanks, papa bear," she says brightly when Jeff hands her the drinks.

Jensen can feel Danneel staring at him as Jeff turns to them and says, "What can I get you?"

"He'll have a Blow Job," Danneel says before Jensen can speak.

As completely and utterly mortified as he is, it takes Jensen a moment to remember that's a drink. Danneel raises an eyebrow at his appalled look.

"No? How about a Suck, Bang & Blow? Screaming Orgasm? Butt Sex?" The words keep coming out of her mouth and, short of bodily harm, Jensen has no idea how to shut her up. "You know what, I think he's gonna stick with boring old Blue Balls. I'll go with a Slippery Nipple." She flashes Jeff an innocent smile, like Jensen isn't two seconds away from strangling her where she sits.

Jeff leans in closer, his gaze fixed on Danneel. "I've gotta tell you, I'm not quite sure what goes into a Blue Balls."

"That I believe," Danneel says with an outrageous wink. Jensen really just wants to die on the spot.

"I could probably do a Blow Job," Jeff says, and, yep. Him uttering that phrase, no matter what the context, goes immediately into the bank. Jensen shifts in his seat.

"I'm good with whiskey, actually," Jensen manages before things get any further out of control.

Danneel looks at him, eyes wide and innocent. "Well, if you're not getting anything fun, I guess I'll go with a vodka tonic."

"Whiskey and a vodka tonic coming right up," Jeff says. His voice is low and amused and it makes Jensen hot all over.

Jensen accepts his drink with a grateful smile, tossing back half of it more quickly than he probably should. But he's sitting there half-hard in his pants, his whole body buzzing with arousal and embarrassment—lots and lots of whiskey seems like the most necessary thing in the world.

Lots of whiskey later, Jensen is feeling good enough to start into his second "lots" when Danneel abandons him for the tall blonde waitress who only works Saturdays and whose name is too long for Jensen to remember at the moment. "Didn't see that coming," Jensen mutters, signaling for another drink. He really needs new friends.

"Looks like you and your girlfriend have quite the understanding," says Jeff, the bringer of Jensen's whiskey. The bringer of Jensen's whiskey with great hands, and awesome rings he wears to show off the greatness of his hands. Jensen might be a little bit in love.

"Hmm?" Jensen looks up before he actually asks if he can suck on Jeff's fingers. "Oh, yeah. She gets to sleep with other girls, and I get to sleep with other guys and we never have sex. Like, ever." He wrinkles his nose at the thought. "It works out great for us."

"Well, when you find something that works..."

Jensen slaps his hand on the bar and leans forward, nearly tipping the barstool over before he catches his balance. "We're not actually a couple," he says. "She's just a friend."

"Well, that makes a lot more sense now that you mention it." Jeff smiles and Jensen smiles back. Jeff has a great smile.

"You have a great smile."

Jeff laughs, which totally makes up for the niggling fear in the back of Jensen's mind that he actually just said something profoundly stupid. "I think I'm gonna have to cut you off after this one, sweetheart. Do you have a ride home?"

"Uh." Jensen looks around the bar and frowns. "I think my ride left with the tall blonde with the long name." He shrugs. "I can call a cab."

"I can give you a ride if you don't mind sticking around 'til closing." The offer seems weirdly tentative, but Jensen's way to drunk to parse it.

"Throw in some water and you've got yourself a sloppy drunk to manage for the night," he says, raising his glass and draining the last of the whiskey.

"Deal," Jeff says, setting a bottle of Perrier on the counter. He doesn't seem too upset to find himself designated Jensen's personal alcohol nanny, so Jensen doesn't let it bother him.

Jensen sobers up a little in the last hour, going through two bottles of water and too many bathroom trips to keep track of. He's reached the level where he can walk on his own, but shame has yet to rear it's ugly head. It's a pleasant place to be as Jeff locks up and walks them to his truck.

"You called me 'sweetheart'," Jensen says, leaning against the side as Jeff unlocks the passenger's side. "Earlier, when you cut me off."

"Yeah." Jeff's grin is sheepish. "Sorry 'bout that. I have a bad habit of using pet names on all the pretty young things in my bar."

"So, you think I'm pretty," Jensen says, latching onto the only important part of that sentence.

"I think you're drunk." Jeff gets the door open and sighs when Jensen doesn't move to get in. "We both know you're attractive, Jensen. I don't think it's a matter of opinion."

"Right." Jensen scratches the back of his neck, feeling a little foolish. "Sorry. I just—Sorry." He starts to turn away, but Jeff stops him, his hand on Jensen's arm.

"Sweetheart, you're the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen, but you are incredibly drunk right now and I'm trying very hard not to be a bad bad man. You wanna cut me some slack?" He's close enough that Jensen can smell his cologne, something subtle and musky. Jensen wants to rub against him like a cat.

"I kind of want to rub against you like a cat," Jensen says. His brain-to-mouth filter is gone, gone, gone. "So, uh, I guess the answer to that is 'not really'." He smiles when Jeff braces his hands on either side of Jensen's hips. "It's called liquid courage for a reason."

"Christ," Jeff says. Then he kisses him.

Jensen makes a happy noise and wraps his arms around Jeff's waist, dragging him closer. Jeff's beard catches against Jensen's stubble as he angles his head, opening his mouth to slide his tongue against Jensen's. The optimistic part of Jensen's brain crows in victory that it's way better than he ever imagined.

Jeff's body is a huge solid thing, blocking him against the truck with ease as he slants his mouth over Jensen's, a thousand different dirty fantasies come to life. Jensen is too drunk and pleased with himself and life in general to do anything other than react, his mouth curving into a smile every time Jeff pulls back enough to end one kiss and start another.

"Come home with me," Jensen says when they break for air. "Please. You should really come home with me. That would be good."

"Jensen." Jeff's laugh sounds pained. "Tempting as that offer is, I'm going to ask for a rain check." Before Jensen can protest, Jeff says, "Please have some mercy. I've thought about this too much to blow it on a drunken fuck."

"Man." Jensen leans forward, resting his head against Jeff's shoulder. Somehow Jeff managed to say the one thing that would make Jensen want him more. "You've thought about it? Like, fantasized?"

"Get in the car," Jeff says, manhandling him until Jensen starts to move on his own. "Let's get you home."

When Jeff slides into the driver's seat, Jensen picks up the trail of the conversation again, his mind fixating on the idea of Jeff having dirty thoughts about him. He hopes they're really dirty. "So, am I in the bank?"

Jeff gives him a startled look, then laughs. "If you want to put it that way."

"I do." Jensen is satisfied with that answer. "So, you would maybe want to do this sober?"

"I am sober." Jeff punctuates the statement by starting the truck. "I want to do this when you are too."

"Sobriety." Jensen rolls the thought around, testing the validity of it. "If I don't die of sober-person shame when that happens, you can count me in."

"Shame is overrated." The grin Jeff gives him is dirty enough to curl Jensen's toes. "Trust me, sweetheart, you've got me tied in so many knots I don't know which way is which. You've got nothing to be embarrassed about."

"I'll try and keep that in mind," Jensen promises.

It still takes him the better part of a month to work up the nerve to go back to Riverside Bar & Grill after his hangover and very clear memories of the entire night hit the next morning.

"Thought maybe you'd found a new place to haunt," Jeff says casually when Jensen finally manages to, in Danneel's words, "man up" and face him.

"No, just." Jensen looks at him and shrugs a little helplessly as he slides onto the barstool, hoping that will adequately convey all his feelings of jackassery. "Some hangovers take longer than others to recover from."

Jeff nods. "Whiskey?"

"Actually, I thought I'd go with water tonight." Jensen hasn't felt this nervous since he was fifteen and accidentally-on-purpose kissed Tommy from his math class, who used to be in Scouts with him, based on the one camping trip incident of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours".

"Water?" Jeff asks, his lips twitching into the start of a smile.

"Or Coke, or coffee. I'm not actually that picky. Just, y'know." Jensen smiles hopefully. "What do you recommend?"

"I guess it depends." Jeff leans forward and nods toward the end of the bar. "We just got that fancy espresso machine in. I can always use the practice, but coffee might keep you up all night."

"Coffee then. I mean, I'm happy to help you practice your, uh, coffee skills," Jensen says, ignoring Genevieve's amused look as she slides behind the counter to grab her own drink order. "I've got nowhere I need to be. And I'm sure I can find something to do if I can't get to sleep?"

"Yeah," Jeff says, his grin turning wolfish. "I'm sure we can think of something."

The End

Jeff "trying very hard not to be a bad bad man"? Unf. Obviously the same sound would be made if he was being a bad bad man, but there is something insanely hot about gentleman Jeff.
Awkward Jensen (drunk and sober;) is a extra special treat. *licks lips*

I want to give you a decent comment, but my brain is fried. You've got me more blushy and smirky over a bit of flirting and kissing than I usually get over a filthy PWP. HOW DID YOU DO THAT?

That was awesome. Jeff's attempt not to be a bad bad man was way hotter than it would have been on anyone else in the world, I think. :)
